Sometimes life's unexpected twists lead us exactly where we're meant to be.
After taking early retirement through ill health, I suddenly found myself with something I'd never had before – time. Like many people, I wondered what came next. Rather than dwelling on what I'd lost, I chose to embrace a creative side that had always been waiting to emerge.
What began as a simple curiosity soon became a genuine passion, and today Kallisae Arts is a place where creativity, craftsmanship and personal expression come together.
Every resin piece is individually handcrafted using wood, resin and carefully chosen materials, inspired by the stunning coastline, countryside and ever-changing colours of Northumberland. No two pieces are ever exactly the same, making each one as unique as the person who owns it.
Alongside my resin creations, I have a real passion for acrylic pour painting. Unlike traditional painting, every pour develops its own personality, creating beautiful patterns and movement that can never be recreated. For me, each painting tells the story of how I was feeling in that moment. Some are bright, vibrant and full of energy, while others explore deeper, moodier tones that are just as inspiring. Every canvas captures a moment in time, making each piece completely unique.
Since starting Kallisae Arts, I've been privileged to exhibit my work at local exhibitions and have been invited to run resin workshops, helping others discover the enjoyment and confidence that comes from creating something beautiful with their own hands. My next workshop takes place this October, and I can't wait to welcome more people into the wonderful world of resin art.

Meet Wendy
Hi, I'm Wendy, and I'm so pleased you've stopped by.
For many years I owned and ran a successful holiday business here in Northumberland. When I sold it, I thought I knew what the next chapter of my life would look like. As it turned out, life had other ideas.
These days you'll usually find me travelling around Britain in Nancy, my motorhome, with my two cocker spaniels, Gracie and Sasha. Together we're exploring beautiful coastlines, peaceful countryside, hidden villages and the wonderful places that often go unnoticed.
Along the way I've rediscovered my love of creativity. The landscapes I visit inspire my artwork, my photography and the stories I share here on Wendy Wanders. Every walk, every sunrise and every new place reminds me that there's always something beautiful waiting just around the corner.
